Most know me by Tammi or Trenae. I did have thoughts of writing under a pen name but I've now decided that I like the idea of writing under my own name but will be dropping the last name. So I will be writing as Tamera Renae. I love my name and decided since most know me by my real name as that's how I've been networking that it would simplify things for me.
I am a writer who has not yet been published. I continue to write hoping to submit more work this year.
I've been writing what feels like my whole life for fun but as a serious writer for a little over a year. I got a taste of being more creative with my writing while in school and taking a creative writing class. Last Year I took an online class Romance Writing Secrets taught by multi published author Lori Wilde. With this class and actually starting a story I got the confirmation that one of my true passions is writing. I enjoy being creative and being able to give my characters a voice, to write their story and one day hopefully soon others will be able to enjoy their stories as much as I do. .
So far I have written four erotica stories, a contemorary romance story and currently working on writing an erotic romance story.
I have found that networking is important as is finding groups and forums. I belong to a few wonderful online groups and forums. Without these I wouldn't be where I am at with my skill. Support and encouragement from family, friends and others in the industry are equally important things as a writer.
One of the best finds was my critique partner whom I work great with. I tried starting my own critique group and found that I am more of a one-on-one sort of person when it comes to critique. I am very grateful to have found someone who compliments me with work style and critique methods.
If I'm not writing, reading, researching or revising then I'm with family and friends or catching up on some fav television shows.
